Kippo, a long established hair salon in Sydney, first opened our doors in May 1996. We have since branched out to multiple salons located in the CBD area.

Kippo caters for the fashion savvy with recognition for their creativeness and signature styles, which has set it apart from it’s competitors. All staff and trainers are certified and continuously updated with the latest trends and techniques through annual aspiration trips to the fashion capitals of London, Paris, New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo. We strive to create the latest Avant-garde designs that allow clients leaving feeling absolutely chic.

As an innovator and pioneer of various techniques and systems in the industry, we have successfully introduced Thermal Reconditioning system to the Australian market for nearly a decade ago, gaining the reputation as one of the best and featured in publications such as Marie Claire, B magazine, Cleo and New Woman.

Having been an active participant in both National and International shows – including TVB’s Sydney Miss Chinese Beauty Pageant where we act as the official image consultant, Kippo is able to use the experiences to inspire others, not only to meet, but to excel the standards set previously in the industry.

Philip’s cutting edge styles are the results from extensive training in Tokyo, London, Paris and New York, where he constantly sourced for new ideas and techniques. A perfectionist in his own right, Philip dabbled heavily in the architecture and interior design aesthetics of Kippo’s new flagship store in Pitt Street Sydney. Inspired from the historical archaeological finds of First Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s tomb, the flagship store is set to enchant clients with its brilliant architecture and design.

His oriental design of East meets West has been featured in the media locally and internationally. His design was also a finalist in the Australian and New Zeland Hair Expo 2010, and winner of the ASOFIA 2009/2010 Awards a national competion for Interior shopfitting

His new flagship store being featured in various magazines such as Instyle, Estetica Design International, Estetica Australia and New Zealand and Vie. Estetica Design is in international magazine that recognises the top salon designs of each country, Kippo was featured as a representative for Australia in their most recent issue.

He has also won various awards for his skills as a stylist , he was state winner in the Joico Innovision in 2009 , and assisting in the 2010 Australian Fashion week with Lance Blanchett.
